  • As of 2012-2013 academic year, CSU students paying a greater proportion than the state towards the cost of their education for the first time in state history (>50%).

  • As of the 2008-09 academic year, CSU students were paying for about 30% of the cost of their education, and California taxpayers were covering the remaining 70% of the yearly cost ("tuition and fees").  Here's an editorial  that puts the information into historical context.
