1.  A sample of 1.0 mol of perfect gas with Cp,m = 7/2R,  initially at a pressure of 1.00 atm and a temperature of 298 K,  is put     through he following cycle:  (a) constant-volume heating to twice its initial pressure, (b) reversible, adiabatic expansion back to its initial temperature, (c) reversible isothermal compression back to 1.00 atm.  Calculate q, w, DU and DH for each step and overall.

Answer:  step (a), q = DU = 6.19 kJ, DH = 8.67 kJ
